10% of all sales from the evening go to support the Klimb for the Kure, an expedition to raise $1,000,000 for the Hereditary Disease Foundation (HDF). HDF aims to cure genetic illness by supporting basic biomedical research.
The expedition team that is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in February 2009 includes Courtney Blethen, Erika Ralston, Liz Weber, Kate Bayley, Tadd Sackville-West, Carla Wilcox, Yvette Camacho, Katy Bradley and Cindy Gantz. All YOU need to do is visit to Jaxx Boutik on October 15.

I started Julep because I wanted to build a warm, amazing place where girlfriends can gather to connect and celebrate. All while indulging in the very best manicures and pedicures. The idea for Julep really came together after an inspiring “girls weekend” with my two dearest girlfriends. Throughout that weekend, we helped each other connect dots that we couldn’t even see when we were apart. I felt like I had the space to be a “me” that I don’t have much time to be when I am busy being a mother, wife and businesswoman. You know how it is with amazing girlfriends.
The only thing that would have made that weekend any better was if we could have sat together during our pedicure appointments. And now we can, and you can too.

Coach Carla Wilcox has offered her talents of the mind, body, and soul and her boxing studio to our Klimb for Kure team. Not only is Carla Wilcox training each of the climbers on this event, Carla will be joining the team climbing Kilimanjaro in February 2009.

Pearl Jam has supported our dreams from the very beginning to raise $1 million and climb Kilimanjaro in February 2009. They are helping us spread the word about Huntington's Disease by contributing to our fundraiser.
HUNTINGTON'S DISEASE DOCUMENTARY
Our mission is to inform and bring a deeper understanding about HD. But first and foremost this film will be about the stories of the people it involves. These universal human themes will carry the film. They will compliment each other in a delicate and powerful way. Knowledge is power. This film aims to spread both Knowledge and build Power within the HD community and beyond. Through the stories in the film - we will bear witness to the questions, triumphs, struggles and daily life. By sharing stories, the film will spread Knowledge within the HD community as well as strengthen communication, encourage understanding, offer solace, honor the courage of all people affected by HD.
